Its first North Texas restaurant will be at 3333 Knox St., across from Toulouse and Taverna, near Dallas’ Katy Trail.<\/p>\n
The restaurant was founded 15 years ago and has grown to affluent areas like West Hollywood, Miami’s South Beach, the\u00a0Hamptons and SoHo. It has two shops in Texas so far, on South Congress Avenue in Austin and the nearby suburb of Bee Cave.<\/p>\n
The shop was created by Khalil Rafati, the author of\u00a0I Forgot to Die, a book about surviving a heroin and cocaine addiction. In his sobriety, he started juicing and eating\u00a0superfoods. In 2011, he started SunLife. It’s not a juice bar, the website said, but “an experience fueled by the simple but profound joy of human connection and an unrelenting commitment to quality.” SunLife’s\u00a0team was not immediately available for comment for this story.<\/p>\n
It’s too soon to know what SunLife’s menu might look like in Dallas. Other locations offer menu items including protein smoothies, acai bowls, avocado toast, fruit and vegetable juices, matcha and “shots” like an $8 (nonalcoholic) drink with ginger, lemon, oregano, garlic, cayenne and apple cider vinegar.<\/p>\n
SunLife Organics will be at 3333 Knox St., Dallas.
