Under the theme \u201cHonoring the Past, Inspiring the Future,\u201d the celebration goes far beyond floats and performances. It pays tribute to generations of Puerto Ricans who helped shape the Bronx while honoring the younger generations who continue to carry Boricua culture forward in New York.<\/p>\n<p>Festivities begin at 11 a.m. along the Grand Concourse, starting at East 166th Street and continuing to Mount Eden Avenue. Families, community leaders, artists, cultural organizations and local businesses will transform the avenue into a vibrant street celebration filled with Puerto Rican spirit, music, and tradition.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-144627\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1779991984_518_image1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"454\"  \/>Photo by MQuin Photography.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most anticipated moments of the day will be a tribute to legendary salsa icon Willie Col\u00f3n, whose music has helped define Puerto Rican cultural identity in New York and beyond for decades.<\/p>\n<p>The parade will also feature a special appearance by Caridad De La Luz \u201cLa Bruja,\u201d alongside community leaders and honorees recognized for their contributions across the city.\n<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s honorees include State Senator Luis R.
