Brooklyn<\/a> detectives are busy investigating two deadly, separate stabbings within nine hours between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.\n<\/p>\n

Police said the first homicide happened at about 8:10 p.m. on May 27 near the corner of Seaview Avenue and Rockaway Parkway in Canarsie.\n<\/p>\n

Officers from the 69th Precinct<\/a> responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call about an assault. When they arrived, they found 34-year-old Isaiah Freeman, of East 102nd Street in Brooklyn, with a stab wound to his chest.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement sources said Freeman was attacked after getting involved in a verbal dispute with the suspect. The reason for the argument is not yet known.\u00a0<\/p>\n

EMS rushed him to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital in critical condition; however, police reported that Freeman later succumbed to his injuries.\n<\/p>\n

So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation. Police sources did not have a description of the suspect as of Thursday afternoon.\n<\/p>\n

Hours after the Canarsie incident, a man was fatally stabbed and another was seriously injured during an incident in Sunset Park.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Police said the attack happened in front of the City Fresh Market at 5009 6th Ave. at about 4:55 a.m. on May 28.\n<\/p>\n

Cops from the 72nd Precinct,<\/a> in responding to a 911 call regarding an assault in progress, found a 35-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive with stab wounds to his torso. Nearby, they also located a 36-year-old man who had been slashed in the face.<\/p>\n

EMS rushed both victims to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where the 35-year-old man was pronounced dead. Police have not yet released his dientity, pending family notification. The 36-year-old man, meanwhile, was listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n

Few details about the incident were provided by police as to the circumstances leading up to the stabbing. Sources familiar with the case did not have a suspect\u2019s description available.\n<\/p>\n

So far, no arrests have been made in either case, and both remain under investigation.\n<\/p>\n
