{"id":830204,"date":"2026-05-29T14:08:18","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T14:08:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/830204\/"},"modified":"2026-05-29T14:08:18","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T14:08:18","slug":"man-charged-with-murder-kidnapping-their-5-year-old-child-before-fleeing-to-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/830204\/","title":{"rendered":"Man charged with murder, kidnapping their 5-year-old child before fleeing to Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A 40-year-old Los Angeles man was charged with murder after allegedly killing his girlfriend and kidnapping their young child before fleeing to Mexico, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Ruben Fregosojuarez has been charged one count of murder and one misdemeanor count of child abuse under circumstance or conditions other than great bodily injury or death, according to a Los Angeles County District Attorney\u2019s Office <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/da.lacounty.gov\/media\/news\/los-angeles-man-charged-killing-woman-abducting-child-fleeing-mexico\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">news release<\/a>. Authorities first identified him as Ruben Fregoso but Los Angeles County prosecutors listed him as Ruben Fregosojuarez.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday around 12:39 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department conducted a welfare check in the 2600 block of South Alsace Avenue in West Adams, police said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>Officers found a woman dead inside the home \u201cas a result of violence\u201d and the woman\u2019s daughter missing, police said. On Monday night, the California Highway Patrol <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CHPAlerts\/status\/2059144917461639504\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">issued an Amber Alert<\/a> for the child, Daleza.<\/p>\n<p>Photos <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/local\/amber-alert-west-adams-ruben-fregoso-daleza\/3895865\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">obtained by NBC4<\/a> appear to show Fregosojuarez in a parking garage in San Ysidro with the girl on Sunday. The California Highway Patrol has listed her age as 4 years old but Los Angeles police say the girl is 5. She is also described as the suspect\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n<p>The alert said that the girl was last seen with Fregosojuarez, who allegedly abducted her in a 2019 Land Rover Discovery, on Sunday at about 4 a.m. <\/p>\n<p>The CHP posted in an update that the vehicle was found but that the child and man were still missing.
