That greasy pizza box<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, even that one. Food-soiled paper is totally compostable, grease and all.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Apples<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finished eating your big apple in the Big Apple? Toss the core in your compost bin.<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>That bodega napkin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Used napkins, paper towels, paper bags. If it\u2019s paper and it touched food, it can go in the brown bin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Your coffee cup sleeve<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not the cup, but the sleeve? Yes. The coffee-covered cardboard sleeve is compostable. The plastic-lined cup is not.<\/p>\n<p>5. <strong>Chicken wing bones<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, NYC wants your meat. And dairy. It\u2019s built different.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\"\/>\n<p><strong>6. Dead flowers from your corner deli bouquet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RIP. But make them count. Flowers, stems, leaves: all compostable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Those back-of-the-fridge leftovers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Too much takeout? It happens.
