The Chicago-based fast-casual chain opened its first-ever airport location at DFW Airport\u2019s Terminal B on Wednesday, May 27.<\/p>\n<p>Crucially, it&#8217;s across from the CultureMap store. Look for the black, white, and teal CultureMap sign and then look across to Portillo&#8217;s. You can&#8217;t miss it.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/dallas.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/portillos-dfw-airport\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">restaurant<\/a> features a new small, dine-in only format &#8211; no drive-thru, of course &#8211; and seats about 50 guests. A colorful mural along the back wall depicts DFW Airport and the skylines of Dallas and Fort Worth on either side.<\/p>\n<p class=\"shortcode-media shortcode-media-rebelmouse-image\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"d6d77\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"14b9f9f7bd4c289f7fb543e36bd31bb6\" data-rm-shortcode-name=\"rebelmouse-image\" class=\"rm-shortcode rm-lazyloadable-image \" lazy-loadable=\"true\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%201600%201200'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-runner-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1780096580_657_portillo-s-dfw-airport.jpg\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1200\" alt=\"Portillo's DFW Airport\"\/> Check out that cool mural behind the ribbon-cutting at Portillo&#8217;s DFW Airport.Photo courtesy of Portillo&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>According to a release, the airport location includes multiple ordering touchpoints &#8211; including register ordering, self-order kiosks, and order-ahead pickup &#8211; along with a dedicated Portillo\u2019s Grab &amp; Go area for travelers seeking to quickly tote food on the plane, to their gate, or for leisurely meals during layovers or the unfortunate flight cancellation.<\/p>\n<p>Guests can expect signature Portillo\u2019s items like Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, char-grilled burgers, and Portillo\u2019s &#8220;famous&#8221; chocolate cake.<\/p>\n<p>Hot dogs come in regular, chili cheese, Polish sausage, and Maxwell Street Polish sausage, which has mustard and grilled onions.<\/p>\n<p>Their Italian beef sandwich features thinly sliced roast beef served on French bread, which is then dipped in hot gravy. You can order it dipped with sweet or hot peppers and mozzarella.<\/p>\n<p>Importantly, Portillo\u2019s at DFW will also serve breakfast, including the Polish Sausage, Egg &amp; Cheese Sandwich and the Maple Sausage &amp; Egg Croissant, from 5 am-10:30 am daily.<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate the grand opening of its new airport location in Terminal B, the release says, Portillo\u2019s will offer a free slice of its legendary Chocolate Cake to the first 200 guests who visit the new location on May 28, giving travelers the opportunity to enjoy Portillo\u2019s \u201ccakes on a plane.\u201d (Limit one per guest.)<\/p>\n<p>Fans who sign up for  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.portillos.com\/perks\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Portillo\u2019s Perks<\/a> will also receive a welcome reward of free French Fries.<\/p>\n<p>DFW Airport is the 12th location of Portillo&#8217;s in Dallas-Fort Worth and first in Frisco; the first <a href=\"https:\/\/dallas.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/03-02-22-portillos-chicago-street-food-colony\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">opened<\/a> at the Grandscape development in The Colony in January 2023. They&#8217;ve rapidly expanded since then, adding outposts in Allen, Arlington, Denton, Fort Worth, Grapevine, Mansfield, Grand Prairie, and in recent months, inside the <a href=\"https:\/\/dallas.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/portillos-locations-north-dallas-opening\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas<\/a> city limits and <a href=\"https:\/\/dallas.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/portillos-frisco-opening\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Frisco<\/a>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Dallas Fort Worth International Airport has officially arrived: It now has a Portillo\u2019s.
