(KOLO) &#8211; Lake Tahoe ospreys can be seen around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.parks.ca.gov\/?page_id=506\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.parks.ca.gov\/?page_id=506\">Emerald Bay State Park<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.parks.ca.gov\/?page_id=505\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.parks.ca.gov\/?page_id=505\">D.L. Bliss State Park<\/a>, and around the Truckee River, according to a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SierraSPF\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SierraSPF\">Sierra State Parks Foundation Facebook<\/a> post.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cSeeing them is a great sign, as they are vital indicators of the lake\u2019s ecological health!\u201d according to the parks foundation. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Ospreys are iconic summer raptors known for diving into the water to hunt fish. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The raptors are often confused with Bald Eagles, which also live in the basin, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Ospreys are smaller and have a dark brown \u201cbandit mask\u201d stripe through their eyes.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KOLO.
