\n\tBilly Eichner<\/a> is saying \u201cnever say never\u201d when it comes to reviving his popular game show Billy on the Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a recent interview with Josh Horowitz for his Happy Sad Confused<\/a> podcast, where he was promoting his audio memoir Billy on Billy, the comic actor reflected on the \u201csecond, third life\u201d the game series has experienced on social media.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s crazy. It has sustained in a very unexpected way,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s one of those things that you cannot plan for.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe last time the Bros actor and writer revived the format was for a get-out-the-vote campaign<\/a> with Will Ferrell for 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. \u201cThat helped,\u201d Eichner remarked sarcastically. \u201cWe tried. Wish more people had tried.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe continued, \u201cFor a while, I was like: \u2018I can never do it! I have to draw a line in the sand.\u2019 But people love it, and if you look on the internet, which can be so snarky, including about me, but under Billy on the Street videos, that\u2019s like a different thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe people who get it, it\u2019s like their favorite thing. And they\u2019re always: \u2018Please do more. Please bring the show back. The world is so awful. Please do this.\u2019 And I am very touched by that, and I want to honor that. That\u2019s a very rare thing. It does not give me, as an actor, the creative satisfaction anymore because I\u2019ve been doing it for so long. And it\u2019s not aligned with who I really wanted to be as an artist because it\u2019s not acting in the traditional sense,\u201d he said, while adding that he is \u201cproud of\u201d the show.<\/p>\n

\n\tBilly on the Street aired for three seasons from 2011 to 2014 on Fuse, and for two additional seasons on truTV<\/a>. Various short-form web episodes followed later on Funny or Die and as part of a promotional campaign for 2022\u2019s Bros. Select clips of the program, which feature the beloved segment \u201cFor A Dollar,\u201d have continued to go viral on platforms like TikTok.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFor me, I want to have a more eclectic career. But what I\u2019m always trying to sort of figure out is, \u2018Oh, OK, I can do both.\u2019 My therapist would want me to say that. She was like: \u2018You can do everything!\u2019 I\u2019m never going to do half-hour episodes of Billy on the Street again, but we\u2019re always kind of talking about what it could look like. And I don\u2019t know what the answer to that is, but never say never.
