After a pre-Broadway run in Chicago, the production opened on Broadway in 2014 at the Neil Simon Theatre. The Broadway production received Tony Award nominations, including Best Original Score. The show has continued as a touring and remounted title beyond its initial Broadway engagement, including a U.S. national tour that opened at Los Angeles\u2019 Ahmanson Theatre and played San Francisco\u2019s Golden Gate Theatre.
