While New York\u2019s 2026 World Cup games are technically in New Jersey, the city is gearing up for a hoard of tourists and soccer fans during the international soccer tournament. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe World Cup is a historic moment for New York City, and our priority is making it easy for New Yorkers and visitors to join in the fun, with or without a match ticket,\u201d said Maya Handa, NYC World Cup Czar. \u201cOfficial transportation will connect fans to New York New Jersey Stadium, while free fan events, local programming and small business activations will bring the tournament to the five boroughs. We look forward to making this a meaningful moment for residents, fans, neighborhoods and local businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Games are slated for Saturday, June 13 at 6 p.m. (Brazil vs. Morocco); Tuesday, June 16 at 3 p.m. (France vs. Senegal), Monday; June 22 at 8 p.m. (Norway vs. Senegal); Thursday, June 25 at 4p.m. (Ecuador vs. Germany);  and Saturday, June 27 at 5pm (Panama vs. England).
