When intense heat hits the Delaware Valley<\/a>, it’s important to find ways to stay cool.<\/p>\n

Whether you’re living in the city or the surrounding suburbs, health experts say it’s important to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the heat when temperatures soar.<\/p>\n

To keep yourself and your loved ones safe in the heat, here’s a look at where you can find cooling centers across Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia<\/p>\n

In the city, dozens of libraries, pools, spraygrounds and senior centers are open during extreme heat events as cooling centers.<\/p>\n

A map posted on the city’s website<\/a>\u00a0shows you where you can find cooling centers near you.<\/p>\n

Since the start of June, more than a dozen Philadelphia pools<\/a> have opened for the season, though the following pools will not reopen in 2025:<\/p>\n
