{"id":836615,"date":"2026-06-01T10:41:15","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T10:41:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/836615\/"},"modified":"2026-06-01T10:41:15","modified_gmt":"2026-06-01T10:41:15","slug":"kiki-gyan-documentary-among-projects-set-for-2026-locarno-open-doors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/836615\/","title":{"rendered":"Kiki Gyan Documentary Among Projects Set For 2026 Locarno Open Doors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tA documentary feature about the legendary Ghanaian musician Kiki Gyan is among the projects that will participate in this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/locarno\/\" id=\"auto-tag_locarno\" data-tag=\"locarno\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Locarno<\/a> Open Doors programme.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSix projects from ten different African countries have been picked to participate in the programme. <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/locarno-open-doors\/\" id=\"auto-tag_locarno-open-doors\" data-tag=\"locarno-open-doors\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Locarno Open Doors<\/a> is in the second year of a four-year cycle dedicated to Africa. \u00a0The titles are listed below:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ghana: Too Much Music. Directed and produced by Aseye Fiagbe.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Mozambique and South Africa: Chapa 100. Directed by Ique Langa and produced by Lara Sousa (Kulunga Filmes).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Nigeria:\u00a0 I Live in V.I. Directed by Ugochukwu Azuya and produced by Olubunmi Ogunsola.<\/li>\n<li>Somalia and Djibouti: Accept My Plea For Burial. Directed by Mohammed Sheikh and produced by Kadir Harbi Hassan (Aleel Films).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Tanzania\u2013Kenya: The Ones With The Tempered Flowers. Directed by Neema Ngelime and produced by Ivy Kiru of AQ Pictures.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ugandan: A Vineyard for A Lobster. Directed by Talemwa Pius and produced by Gashumba Emmanuel (Gripmagic Uganda Limited).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tLocarno also runs an Open Doors program for producers and directors. Producers from six countries have been selected.
