\n\tBack from the holiday vacation, Jon Stewart<\/a> began his Monday night stint at The Daily Show<\/a> in desperate need of \u201csome good news.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI need some relief. And I\u2019ll tell you why. Because as many of you know, that big Freedom 250<\/a> concert that I\u2019ve so been looking forward to,\u201d he began sarcastically, pausing for audience laughter, \u201chas run into some problems.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLike his Sunday late-night counterpart John Oliver before him<\/a>, Stewart had plenty of jokes about the legacy acts who dropped out of the nation\u2019s semiquincentennial over political concerns \u2014 all of whom share the same booking agent in Jeff Epstein of Universal Attractions Agency.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cJeff Epstein of Universal Attractions is in charge of \u2014 forgive me \u2014 recruiting talent for a Donald Trump<\/a> party? That\u2019s what you\u2019re telling me?\u201d Stewart said, incredulous.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe finally thought he was going to get his happy end\u2014 but nope. Once again, they leave him hanging. Uh,\u201d he said, before some in the crowd jeered. \u201cOh, I\u2019m sorry. I\u2019m sorry. Too soon? Too soon? I didn\u2019t know we had so many Epstein sympathizers in the room!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe political comic then transitioned to jabs about the continued drawn-out process of the Iran<\/a>-U.S. peace talks.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou\u2019re the greatest negotiator in the world, and you\u2019re saying that it\u2019s difficult to bring together two differing sides with competing interests? If only there was a word for closing that gap, a person who could help close it. I don\u2019t know, a gap-a-closenator,\u201d Stewart quipped.<\/p>\n

\n\tToward the final minutes of the host\u2019s monologue, Stewart was interrupted by none other than Olivia Munn<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cJonathan, tonight is about you. I am here to honor you on one of your biggest, final special sendoff shows. Just like [Stephen] Colbert had a big production, huge stars \u2014 everyone loved it \u2014 I\u2019m here for you, for that,\u201d she said, as Stewart tried to affirm that he was not leaving anytime soon and that \u201cthis is a normal Monday show.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Your Friends & Neighbors actress then pulled out an acoustic guitar, singing the lyrics to an original song, which Stewart pointed out was clearly written for Colbert. \u201cYou\u2019re right,\u201d she said. \u201cNo one cares if you leave.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOK, that\u2019s not necessary,\u201d he said, as the crowd booed in support.<\/p>\n

\n\tMunn noted she had missed out on Colbert\u2019s sendoff when bookers passed on her, and Stewart assured she\u2019s welcome any time. \u201cReally? Oh my God, thank you so much \u2019cause there\u2019s really not a lot of options left. It\u2019s basically just you or the Hot Ones guy [Sean Evans],\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen Stewart added that she could return to the desk without needing to \u201cpretend\u201d to play an instrument, Munn scoffed: \u201cI can play guitar.
