We now know what triggered \u201c90 Day Fianc\u00e9\u201d star Thais Ramone\u2019s shocking domestic violence arrest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ramone was arrested May 22 in Nevada on\u00a0<\/a>a misdemeanor domestic battery charge \u2014 the same day news broke she and her now-estranged husband, Patrick Mendes, were getting a divorce<\/a>. The charge was dropped two days later.<\/p>\n

According to a police report obtained by TMZ <\/a>Monday, Ramone\u2019s arrest occurred after Mendes called police and claimed she \u201cslapped him on the left side of his face with an open right hand\u201d at her home.<\/p>\n

Mendes said the argument, which occurred two days after he served her with divorce papers, was triggered when he brought their 3-year-old daughter, Aleesi, to say goodbye to her since she was leaving for Brazil, her home country.<\/p>\n

In a police report obtained by TMZ, Mendes claimed Thais \u201cslapped him on the left side of his face with an open hand\u201d after they got into an argument. (They\u2019re seen here in an Instagram photo.) Instagram\/buffmendes<\/p>\n

An officer said Mendes, 36, also videotaped the slap and he had marks on his face consistent with his story.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, according to the report, Ramone told cops she acted in self-defense and called Mendes \u201ccontrolling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Page Six reached out to Ramone\u2019s rep but didn\u2019t immediately receive a response.<\/p>\n

Ramone appeared unbothered Monday as she celebrated her 30th birthday, sharing sexy snapshots of herself<\/a> on Instagram. In one pic, she laid on a bed in a skintight black minidress with a cake which read \u201cSpicy 30.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ramone\u2019s rep previously told Page Six that the reality star is focused on moving forward privately and protecting her family during \u201can emotionally difficult time.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cWhile a misdemeanor allegation was made following a personal family dispute, the matter was reviewed by the District Attorney and the charge was ultimately dropped,\u201d her rep told us. \u201cWe believe that outcome speaks for itself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mendes and Ramone made their \u201c90 Day Fianc\u00e9\u201d debut on Season 9 in 2022, which documented Ramone moving from Brazil to the US to be with Mendes. They tied the knot on Feb. 22, 2022.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re also set to star in the upcoming season of \u201c90 Day Fianc\u00e9: The Last Resort,\u201d which premieres June 1 will follow their journey in couple\u2019s therapy.<\/p>\n
