A fire at the Benjamin J Bowie American Legion Post in South Los Angeles was knocked down in 17 minutes Monday evening.<\/p>\n
Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters were called at 7:43 p.m. to 5115 S. Central Ave., between 51st and 52nd streets, where the incident commander declared the blaze was knocked down at 8 p.m., said LAFD spokeswoman Jamie Stewart.<\/p>\n
No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
