An NYC LGBTQ+ nonprofit kicked off Pride Month on June 1 with a new collection of merchandise<\/a> designed by local Queer artists.\u00a0<\/p>\n

NYC Pride, a nonprofit that hosts events to support the LGBTQIA+ community, launched its first-ever \u201ccapsule collection\u201d of merchandise that features Pride-ready clothing, accessories and gifts that are available for purchase both online and in person at the W Hotel Times Square through June.<\/p>\n

Fashion for sale includes a cool and practical canvas tote bag ($25), a colorful bandana ($15), and shirts, ($32-35), all imprinted with this year\u2019s NYC Pride theme, \u201cFor All of Us.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

A \u201cFor All of Us\u201d postcard set is also available for $14.\n<\/p>\n

The organization said part of all proceeds will support its mission to create \u201csafe spaces that serve and celebrate\u201d the LGBTQIA+ community.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cPride has always been rooted in community, so we\u2019re thrilled to collaborate with artists in our local community for a new collection that captures our spirit \u2013 and our pride,\u201d said NYC Pride Executive Director Im Lynde.<\/p>\n

NYC Pride, which is part of the volunteer-directed Heritage of Pride, Inc.,<\/a> issued an open call inviting local queer artists, designers and makers to submit original work inspired by the 2026 NYC Pride theme, which the organization said references a quote widely attributed to activist Stonewall<\/a> veteran Marsha P. Johnson: \u201cThere is no pride for some of us without liberation for all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Artists Gabrielle Meit-Sciara, Tori Smith and Kimm Topping designed the new merchandise.\n<\/p>\n

Meit-Sciara created the tote bag design. She is a Brooklyn-based LGBTQ+ artist.\n<\/p>\n

Meit-Sciara reflected on this year\u2019s Pride theme.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\u201cThis work is both a celebration and a call to show up for one another more fully, because when we have community, we have strength,\u201d she said.\n<\/p>\n

Smith, whose designs are featured on two shirts and the bandana, is a multi-hyphenated artist dedicated to uplifting communities.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\u201cLiving a different lifestyle than the rest can sometimes feel lonely and disconnected,\u201d they said in reference to their interpretation, \u201cBut in this design, I wanted to show how we\u2019re all still the same, especially when you take a back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Topping, who designed the postcard set, is an artist and writer, author of\u00a0\u201cGeneration Queer\u201d\u00a0(2025) and current Artist-in-Residence at the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve spent the past year illustrating queer spaces across NYC, from Stonewall to Marsha P. Johnson State Park,\u201d they said. \u201cThis artwork is a love letter to the places where we find each other\u2014to celebrate, fall in love, honor our history, and carry it forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Human Rights Campaign<\/a>, which announced it reached a historic high of 4 million members and supporters, also launched a collection of apparel items\u2014intertwined with classic favorites\u2014to recognized Pride month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Some highlights include a rainbow smiley T-shirt ($32), a Love is Love fanny pack ($28) and a rainbow seed beaded wristband ($18).\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Pride Month runs through June. It is celebrated this month to commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall uprising in Greenwich Village on June 28, 1969.
