Still, some voters took enough time to take photos and share their most pressing concerns or favorite candidates with The Times. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHopefully we see results, we want results,\u201d said Raquel Rodriguez, 56, who dropped off her ballot with her mother Tuesday morning. The governor\u2019s race was top of mind, and she said she decided to vote for Xavier Becerra, though she considered Tom Steyer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSteyer has been up there \u2014 but he\u2019s a billionaire,\u201d Rodriguez said. \u201cWhat he\u2019s saying sounds really good but I don\u2019t know whether I can trust where he\u2019s coming from.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The issues she\u2019s most focused on? \u201cUniversal health care, homelessness, gas prices, the economy, wages, &#8230; it\u2019s everything,\u201d she said, laughing.<\/p>\n<p>Over at the elementary school, Byron Davis waited for his sister-in-law outside the in-person polling location after slapping on his \u201cI voted\u201d sticker.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was easy,\u201d he said. \u201cI did the QR code for the first time \u2014 smooth transaction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said he was most interested in the outcome for governor and had also decided to vote for Becerra, though his middle-school-aged kids had been pushing for Steyer. He didn\u2019t want to get into the specifics, but said his sister \u2014 a lawyer \u2014helped him decide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy family all together came out and we were all speaking about it,\u201d Davis, 43, said. He said it felt like \u201cthe right call.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Most of the morning, there were more election workers at the polling place than voters.
