PHOENIX \u2014 A south Phoenix teen will be tried for murder after allegedly killing his father and injuring his mother in a shooting last month, the Maricopa County Attorney\u2019s Office announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Victor Donovan Morales, 18, will face charges<\/a> of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and misconduct involving weapons in connection with the shooting, which took place on June 24<\/a>.<\/p>\n

New details in deadly south Phoenix shooting<\/p>\n

On that date, Phoenix police were called to a shooting at a family party near Seventh Street and Dobbins Road at about 2:20 a.m.<\/p>\n

They found a man, identified as Victor Morales Lubvio, who had been shot multiple times and a woman, identified as Marlen Jimenez Guadarrama, who had been shot in the arm.<\/p>\n

Both of them were hospitalized and Lubvio later died.<\/p>\n

Police learned that Lubvio, Guadarrama and their son, Morales, were the only people inside the home when the shooting happened.<\/p>\n

Officers later found a rifle belonging to Morales in the backyard of the home and a shell casing that matched the caliber of the rifle near Lubvio.<\/p>\n

Morales turned himself in to Phoenix police on June 28, according to the Phoenix Police Department.<\/p>\n

He is currently being held on a $1 million secured appearance bond and his trial is scheduled to begin in November.<\/p>\n
