stance on a switch to the Red Devils from Newcastle United.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Carrick has made his first signing of the 2026 summer as the permanent <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/manchester-united\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Man Utd<\/a> <\/strong>manager, with Ederson set to make the move to Old Trafford.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/man-utd-first-carrick-signing-done-next-24-48-hours-door-opens-60m-transfer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Man Utd, Atalanta and Ederson have reached an \u2018agreement<\/strong>\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Brazilian midfielder will sign a four-year contract with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/manchester-united\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Man Utd<\/a><\/strong>, who will play in the Champions League next season.<\/p>\n<p>Romano has also revealed that <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/man-utd-romano-plan-ederson-confirmation\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Man Utd plan to add another midfielder to their squad this summer,<\/a><\/strong> with Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte set to leave.<\/p>\n<p>It has now emerged that Man Utd aim to make <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/tag\/mateus-fernandes\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mateus Fernandes<\/a><\/strong> their second signing of the summer transfer href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/mateus-fernandes-wants-to-leave-west-ham-for-man-utd\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fernandes wants to join Man Utd<\/a><\/strong>, with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/west-ham-united\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">West Ham<\/a><\/strong> having been relegated to the Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Man Utd have been in talks with the agents of the 21-year-old for a while, and it has now been claimed that the midfielder will \u201crequest the move\u201d to Old Trafford.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mateus Fernandes to href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/newcastle-united\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Newcastle United<\/a><\/strong> in the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n<p>Man Utd will reportedly start \u201ctalks\u201d for the 21-year-old, who can play as a midfielder and a left-back.<\/p>\n<p>The Red Devils\u2019 co-owners, INEOS, will reportedly have to pay \u00a350m for the Newcastle and England international star.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lewis Hall wants to leave Newcastle for Man Utd<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Harwood posted on X at 11:03pm on June 2: \u201cUnderstand talks for Lewis Hall are due to start in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlayer is very interested in potential move.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExpect the fee to be around \u00a350m mark.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClubs to begin talks soon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPersonal terms will be no issue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Newcastle endured a hugely disappointing 2025\/26 campaign and have already lost England international winger Anthony Gordon to Barcelona this summer.<\/p>\n<p>There are also question marks on the future of Sandro Tonali, with Manchester United among the clubs keen on signing the Italy international
