Eyewitness News is honoring New York City Transit employees who stepped up during the Long Island Rail Road strike last month.<\/p>\n

They woke up at 3:30 a.m. for several days to coordinate third-party buses to provide shuttle service for riders – easing rush hour commutes.<\/p>\n

NYC Transit President Demetrius Crichlow thanked these dedicated employees for their work.<\/p>\n

“You’ve heard us talk a lot about ‘One MTA,’ and this is a great example of it,” he said.<\/p>\n
