San Antonio’s in the spotlight as the Spurs take on the New York\u00a0Knicks<\/a> 27 years after their historic match up that led to the Alamo City’s first of five NBA Championships.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And while Game 2 is also set for San Antonio this Friday, New York looms on the horizon. Game 3 on Monday, June 8 and Game 4 on Wednesday, June 10 are set for Madison Square Garden and at least one\u00a0Knicks fan is already up to no good.\u00a0<\/p>\n

New York City Mayor and everyone’s favorite Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani took to X on Wednesday to invite\u00a0Wemby to a newly announced commission hearing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I’m pleased to invite @Wemby to our second Commission on Government Efficiency hearing on Wednesday June 10th 5-8pm, where we’ll be asking the public for their thoughts on how government can run better. Would love to have you there for the whole time!”<\/p>\n

The commission was announced at the end of May,<\/a> with the goal of providing “better support public excellence by improving efficiency, modernizing city government and ensuring government keeps pace with New Yorkers\u2019 needs.”<\/p>\n

Though Mamdani’s cheeky X post doesn’t mention whether he’ll be at Game 4 next Wednesday, we could see him on screen during pre-game programming. Mamdani’s San Antonio counterpart sat with\u00a0Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny “The Jet” Smith and Ernie Johnson on NBA Tip-Off ahead of Game 1.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mayor Jones used her five minutes effectively, defending the River Walk, taking a few jabs at Barkley, teasing a wager with Mamdani, and serving up some churros. You can watch the full clip below.\u00a0<\/p>\n
