(WKBT) \u2014 The City of La Crosse will seek emergency approval Monday to replace a malfunctioning pool heater at Erickson Pool for $33,240.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Public Works will consider the emergency repair request after city officials determined the existing pool heating unit has a defective heat exchanger.<\/p>\n<p>The broken equipment serves as the sole heating system for pool water at Erickson Pool, <a href=\"https:\/\/cityoflacrosse.legistar.com\/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=8058269&amp;GUID=8FDFA5DF-80CF-42EB-BC8D-B097370B22EB#docaccess-fcfae21f3c0427ffef23ae7df883790a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">according to Parks Department Deputy Director Dan Trussoni.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>City parks officials are recommending the complete replacement of the 11-year-old heating unit rather than attempting repairs.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Public Works meets Monday at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u200bCOPYRIGHT 2026 BY NEWS 8 NOW\/NEWS 8000.
