{"id":844621,"date":"2026-06-04T21:09:16","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T21:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/844621\/"},"modified":"2026-06-04T21:09:16","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T21:09:16","slug":"black-bear-believed-to-be-looking-for-its-mom-spotted-again-in-edina-neighborhood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/844621\/","title":{"rendered":"Black bear, believed to be looking for its mom, spotted again in Edina neighborhood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bears might be something you would expect to see in northern Minnesota, but one was spotted again Wednesday in a Twin Cities backyard.<\/p>\n<p>WCCO spoke with handyman Lee Bottem, who was working at a home in the Concord neighborhood when he and the homeowner thought they saw a dog around 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The customer says, &#8216;Oh my gosh, somebody&#8217;s dog&#8217;s in our yard,&#8217; and so I went to look and I just heard her yell, &#8216;Oh my gosh, it&#8217;s a bear!'&#8221; Bottem said. &#8220;It&#8217;s right off of the freeway, so there&#8217;s a lot of noise coming \u2026 the bear was kind of moving away from that, running through the yards.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/edina-bear-lee-bottem.jpg#.jpeg\" alt=\"edina-bear-lee-bottem.jpg \" height=\"349\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                Lee Bottem<\/p>\n<p>The city of Edina says it&#8217;s a black bear that&#8217;s around 2 to 3 years old. They think it&#8217;s hugging along the Minnehaha Creek, looking for its mom. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/minnesota\/news\/bear-spotted-edina-may-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">They began getting reports of it last weekend<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The bear really had nowhere to go. It was all fences and treelined.
