Kate, the Princess of Wales<\/a>, is continuing her work to support people affected by cancer with a visit to one of the United Kingdom’s leading cancer treatment centers.<\/p>\n

Kate spent time with cancer patients at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester, England, on Thursday, just over one year after announcing<\/a> that her own cancer<\/a> was in remission.<\/p>\n

The 44-year-old mother-of-three was photographed standing by one patient’s side at Christie’s as she rang a bell, which typically signifies the end of chemotherapy treatment.<\/p>\n

In other photos, Kate is seen talking and spending time with patients as they undergo treatments.<\/p>\n

The Christie treats more than 60,000 patients each year, according to the National Health Service, and is known for offering a range of complementary holistic care services for patients and caregivers, including therapy programs, art classes, wellbeing spaces and chaplaincy support.<\/p>\n

Kate also visited an art session with patients and toured the center’s wellbeing garden, which provides a space for reflection and relaxation. She met with staff, patients, and families in The Christie’s Teenage and Young Adult Unit, which supports young people navigating cancer treatment.<\/p>\n

Kate, the wife of Prince William, revealed in 2024 that she had been diagnosed with cancer<\/a> and was undergoing preventative chemotherapy<\/a>. She has not shared publicly the type of cancer with which she was diagnosed.<\/p>\n

Nearly a year later, in January 2025, she announced she was in remission<\/a> and gradually resumed public engagements.<\/p>\n

Since returning to her royal duties, Kate has increasingly highlighted the importance of support services that help patients manage not only the physical effects of cancer, but also the emotional and mental challenges that can accompany diagnosis, treatment and recovery.<\/p>\n

Kate’s visit with cancer patients on Thursday follows an appearance alongside King Charles III<\/a>, her father-in-law, at Windsor Castle earlier this week for a reception recognizing cancer charities, researchers, health care workers and community organizations supporting those affected by the disease.<\/p>\n
