Dakota Fanning<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>and Elle Fanning<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>are ready for their greatest reunion yet.<\/p>\n The Uptown Girls star and The Great actress will take their sister bond to a new level, as they are set to conquer new territory: starring alongside each other in a movie.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cFor the first time ever, sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning are set to star in a film together,\u201d Sony Pictures announced July 22 in a joint Instagram<\/a> post with the sisters, \u201cin the adaptation of Kristin Hannah<\/strong>\u2019s global book phenomenon The Nightingale.\u201d<\/p>\n Dakota, 31, and Elle, 27, will also produce the movie with their company Lewellen Pictures, alongside Hello Sunshine, the production company founded by Reese Witherspoon<\/strong><\/a>, and The Cantillon Company. Reese had\u00a0also picked the international best-selling book\u2014which follows two sisters in France during World War II\u2014for her Reese\u2019s Book Club in 2023.<\/p>\n The film is currently scheduled to be released by TriStar Pictures in February 2027.<\/p>\n Though the Fanning sisters both appeared in the 2001 movie I Am Sam, Elle played a younger version of Dakota\u2019s character Lucy, and the pair didn\u2019t appear in scenes together. As a result, The Nightingale will mark their first time sharing the screen.\u00a0<\/p>\n
