(WITN) &#8211; An Eastern Carolina woman is facing charges after police say she attacked her husband. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Jacksonville police charged Rebecca Madvig, 33, on Thursday with domestic violence, simple assault, and two counts of child abuse, all misdemeanors. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A magistrate\u2019s order says Madvig wrapped her arms around her husband and jerked him into a bookcase and wall. It goes on to say she then grabbed a knife and cut her husband\u2019s finger while he tried to disarm her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"> The child abuse charges stem from the risk of injury to two children who were in the room when the situation unfolded, the court documents say.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Madvig was given a $2,500 unsecured bond and ordered to stay away from her husband. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WITN.
