His vision and values will be a tremendous asset to this board, our members, and the communities we serve.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A Dallas Development Voice<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Beck is tied to one of Dallas\u2019 most closely watched redevelopment efforts: the former Valley View Mall site selected by the Dallas Mavericks for the team\u2019s proposed new arena and entertainment district.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">As previously <a href=\"https:\/\/dallasexpress.com\/breaking\/mavericks-select-valley-view-for-arena-vision-beck-says-it-could-unite-dallas\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> by The Dallas Express in \u201cMavericks Select Valley View For Arena Vision, Beck Says It Could Unite Dallas,\u201d Beck said the Valley View project could become the northern anchor of a broader redevelopment vision connecting North and South Dallas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Beck has decades of experience in real estate development, banking, and civic leadership. His work has included Trophy Club, a 3,500-acre mixed-use master-planned community, the establishment of a $432.5 million tax increment financing district, and the Valley View site, according to MCBA.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">\u201cMCBA\u2019s focus on building a thriving business community in DFW through civic engagement aligns with the mission I\u2019ve dedicated my career to,\u201d Beck said. \u201cI look forward to working alongside this group of leaders to strengthen the connections between the business community and the city we all call home.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Strum Takes The Helm<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Beck\u2019s appointment comes as MCBA expands its leadership structure under CEO Julie Strum.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">As previously <a href=\"https:\/\/dallasexpress.com\/business-markets\/mcba-names-julie-strum-as-new-chief-executive-officer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> by The Dallas Express, MCBA recently elevated Strum from chief operating officer to chief executive officer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">MCBA also hosted a private gathering with Strum and the organization\u2019s Leadership Council.
