\n Dallas\u2019 City Credit Union Names CFO to\u00a0Replace Retiring\u00a0CEO
\n On Oct. 1, City CU’s David Frith will replace President and CEO Sharon Scearce. Under her leadership, City CU grew to over $650 million in assets, expanded its field of membership, enhanced the products and services portfolio, added memberships, grew loans, and achieved numerous awards for member and employee satisfaction, the credit union said. <\/p>\n

After 21 years of service, Dallas-based City Credit Union President and CEO Sharon Scearce (Moore) will retire effective Sept. 30, and current CFO David Frith has been appointed president effective Aug. 1. He will become president and CEO on Oct. 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n

City CU was founded in 1942 as the City of Dallas Employees Credit Union, and its field of membership now includes 13 counties in North Texas.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to extend our deepest gratitude to Sharon for her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to our members, employees and community,\u201d Alan Richardson, chairman of City CU\u2019s board of directors, said in a statement. \u201cSharon\u2019s legacy will be innovation, growth and service.\u201d<\/p>\n

Under Scearce\u2019s leadership, City CU grew to over $650 million in assets, expanded the field of membership, enhanced the products and services portfolio, added memberships, grew loans and achieved numerous awards for member and employee satisfaction. City CU said that improving the employee culture at the company was one of Scearce\u2019s most significant accomplishments, and that produced the growth, innovation, and high member satisfaction levels.<\/p>\n

\u201cLeading City Credit Union has been the honor of my career,\u201d Scearce said in a statement. \u201cI\u2019m proud of what we\u2019ve achieved together, and confident City CU will continue the same commitment to member service going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Richardson said that Frith knows the company\u2019s future needs well.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a longtime employee, David brings a deep understanding of our values and a forward-thinking vision that will continue to help our credit union grow and adapt to serve our members. We\u2019re confident that under his leadership, we will build on our strong foundation and achieve even greater success,\u201d Richardson said.<\/p>\n
