An Australian mother has shared her ultimate post-partum \u201cbaby brain\u201d mistake after realizing she accidentally tattooed her daughter\u2019s name with a permanent typo.<\/p>\n

Katie Benjamin, who posts under the handle @givingmumvibes, left social media in tears after revealing her new ink had gone horribly wrong.<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0viral clip<\/a>\u00a0that has racked up thousands of views, the sleep-deprived mother showed off her fresh forearm tattoo, which was meant to spell her daughter\u2019s name, Airlie.<\/p>\n

However, the fine-line script clearly reads \u201cArilie\u201d instead of \u201cAirlie\u201d, completely swapping the \u2018i\u2019 and \u2018r\u2019 in the name.<\/p>\n

Luckily, the Australian mom took the mishap in her stride, telling news.com.au, \u201cIt was so funny and honestly only something that would happen to me, I swear.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katie explained that the original design was meant to feature her toddler\u2019s name, \u2018Airlie\u2019, but the letters were completely back to front.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe artist had misspelt it on the stencil printout,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI picked out the font and size all without noticing the mistake, and even watched her tattoo it on, and I didn\u2019t notice!\u201d<\/p>\n

She blames the oversight on being exhausted during \u201ctrimester four\u201d \u2013 \u201cthe period after having a baby when you\u2019re adjusting to life with a newborn,\u201d she explains.<\/p>\n

Katie just gave birth to her second child, Reef, in April, so when she recently got her tattoo, she was juggling her toddler Airlie, a newborn, and running on \u201cvery little sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy brain definitely wasn\u2019t operating at 100%, so I didn\u2019t pick up the mistake until after it was tattooed!\u201d she laughed.<\/p>\n

\u201cLuckily, it was a pretty easy fix, as the font was script and the letters were similar enough to make it work, so I went back the next day and the artist fixed it up.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf it had been missing a full letter or something like that, I would have considered getting it removed and started again, but I\u2019d also like to believe that if it was something as big a mistake as that, I would have noticed it.\u201d<\/p>\n
