PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Two men were hurt, one critically, after police say a planned sale turned violent in a west Phoenix neighborhood Friday night.<\/p>\n
Around 10 p.m., first responders were called to a shooting in the area of 79th Avenue and Hess Avenue<\/a>, south of Buckeye Road. <\/p>\n Phoenix police said officers and fire crews arrived and found two men. One of them, a 20-year-old man, had been shot and was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n Investigators said the two men had arranged to meet with several people to sell them items. During the sale, police said the suspects robbed them and opened fire.<\/p>\n One of the victims, who was armed, returned fire before the suspects fled the area, according to police.<\/p>\n While officers were still at the scene, police received a second call reporting that another man had been taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound from the same area.
