Beware the renewed risk for severe thunderstorms across parts of the Prairies through the day Sunday.<\/p>\n

All the ingredients are coming together for another volatile day<\/a> of severe thunderstorms over parts of the Prairies on Sunday. Very large hail and a few tornadoes are possible<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Take some time to ensure you have emergency supplies<\/a> and a plan in place in case severe weather threatens your location<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nocturnal storm risk continues overnight<\/b><\/p>\n

Saturday saw tornado-warned storms capable of producing baseball size hail in Manitoba. These storms will continue and regenerate through the overnight hours, bringing a risk for flooding rainfall.<\/p>\n

The greatest rainfall accumulation is expected across southeastern Saskatchewan and western Manitoba, with the heaviest totals along the shorelines of Lake Winnipeg, Cedar Lake, and Lake Winnipegosis.<\/p>\n

The main event arrives during the day Sunday, when we\u2019ll see ample instability<\/a>, strong upper-level winds, rich moisture, and a trigger to spawn storms all line up through the afternoon and evening hours.<\/p>\n

As a result, severe thunderstorms are likely across southern portions of Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
