When looking for\u00a0a great place\u00a0to watch\u00a0futbol\u00a0in the Jacksonville area,\u00a0think\u00a0football. With the World Cup<\/a> coming to North America,\u00a0fans will gather to cheer on their favorite soccer\u00a0teams\u00a0and, in many cases,\u00a0they’ll\u00a0do it at the same places they gather to\u00a0watch\u00a0the Jaguars and the Gators.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Just about any\u00a0bar with a television and a license to show the\u00a0matches\u00a0is likely to have one on,\u00a0and some places will cater to fans of a specific national team.\u00a0This year’s tourney is being played in the U.S.,\u00a0Canada\u00a0and Mexico, so you\u00a0won’t\u00a0even have to get up in the middle of the night to see your favorite team.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Here are some places that plan on\u00a0catering to World Cup fans throughout the tournament, which will include 104 matches running from June 11 to July 19.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Strings\u00a0Sports Brewery\u00a0\"You<\/p>\n

You can watch World Cup matches at two Strings Sports Brewery locations in the Jacksonville area.<\/p>\n

The Wobbly Whale will appeal to fans of European World Cup teams.<\/p>\n

Fans of the British and Scottish teams might feel at home at the Wobbly Whale, which is housed in a cottage and features European fare and pints of Guinness and\u00a0other ales.\u00a0It’s\u00a0not a sports bar, but if the televisions are on, they are showing sports.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Walk-on’s Sports\u00a0Bistreaux\u00a0\"The<\/p>\n

You’d\u00a0be hard-pressed to find a seat that\u00a0doesn’t\u00a0have a view of at least a few of the 55 televisions\u00a0at Walk-ons, part of a national chain co-owned by NFL Hall of Famer Drew Brees.\u00a0Walk-ons started in Louisiana, so expect a bit of spice on the menu.\u00a0<\/p>\n
