(Photo courtesy of Whitburn\u2019s office)<\/p>\n<p>With more than 135,000 people expected to attend <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofsandiego.com\/arts\/2025\/07\/21\/san-diego-comic-con-2025-what-you-need-to-know\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Comic-Con International<\/a> this week, regional transit agencies Tuesday urged fans to skip the traffic and take advantage of expanded public transportation options.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdmts.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">San Diego Metropolitan Transit System<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/gonctd.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">North County Transit \u2013 San Diego Railroad<\/a> announced boosted service and discounted multi-day passes to accommodate the surge of Comic-Con attendees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPublic transit is hands-down the best way to get to Comic-Con,\u201d said Stephen Whitburn, MTS Board Chair and San Diego City Councilman for the downtown area. \u201cWith expanded service, discounted transit passes for Comic-Con, and direct drop-off just steps from the Convention Center, MTS offers a smooth, stress-free ride into the heart of the action.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Comic-Con PRONTO passes are available on the app, with MTS offering discounted two-, three-, four-, and five-day options starting at $10. Additionally, riders coming from North County can take advantage of the COASTER 5-Pack, which offers five days of rides for the price of three \u2014 a 40% discount valid for a full month from purchase, an NCTD statement read.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Comic-Con convenience:<br \/>The San Diego Trolley just got easier.
