Additional waves are expected in the coming hours. No casualties have been announced at this time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Citizens who were in shelters can leave at this time, but are advised to stay alert and near shelters.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier Sunday, Iran threatened to do so in response to the IDF&#8217;s strikes on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/article-898615\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Beirut<\/a>, which the IDF undertook in response to Hezbollah ignoring the US ceasefire from the first day of the month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Israel will respond, sources told The Jerusalem Post. Israeli officials are still deciding when and how much. (credit: MAJID ASGARIPOUR\/WANA\/REUTERS)<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">It appears that Israeli officials were prepared for this eventuality but expected Iran to back down, so it may still take some time to hit back, given the several hours of flight time.<\/p>\n<p>Later, US President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/article-898629\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a> urged Iran to get back to the negotiating table.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">&#8220;What I would suggest to Iran: You&#8217;ve shot your missiles, that&#8217;s enough. Get back to the table and make a deal,&#8221; Trump told Fox News.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">He also told Fox that he was unaware of the strikes on Lebanon, contrary to earlier reports, and said he was angry about the strikes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">However, Iran&#8217;s Revolutionary Guards Corps said their attacks on Israel on Sunday evening were a &#8220;warning&#8221; of a broader response that would encompass all US and Israeli targets in the region if &#8220;aggressions&#8221; are repeated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Israel under restricted activity policy, schools cancelled<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, if the small number of missiles fired by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/tags\/islamic-republic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Islamic Republic<\/a> is its only move, are only at the North, and there are no casualties, this could impact the Israeli response.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Until Monday at 8 p.m, Israelis are under a restricted activity policy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Under the guidelines, educational activities may not take place. Gatherings are limited to 200 people outdoors and 500 people indoors, provided participants can reach a protected spaced shelter within the required time. Beaches are closed to the public.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Workplaces may continue operating only in locations where employees can reach a standard protected space during an alert.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Iranian, Israeli officials react\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Iranian Foreign Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/tags\/abbas-araghchi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Abbas Araghchi<\/a> posted a picture of the Iranian regime and the Lebanese flags shortly after the first wave was launched.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir cheered on the development, posting on social media that &#8220;tonight Tehran must burn!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Earlier, the IRGC said Sunday that \u201cthe Israeli army must stop its attacks in Lebanon,\u201d adding that if Israel expands the strikes or responds to Iranian measures, \u201cit will face crushing and painful blows.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sirens sounded across northern Israel following the detection of an Iranian missile being launched on Sunday evening.
