As\u00a0Ariana Biermann<\/a> and her boyfriend, Hudson McLeroy<\/a>, pushed the couple for a ring update during a double date in the Big Apple, Christian joked,\u00a0\u201cTake it easy.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gia, however, answered with an emphatic: \u201cSoon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christian seemed to have a different take on when he might pop the question, adding, \u201cLike four years.\u201d The comment left Gia stunned, as she quickly exclaimed in disbelief, \u201cFour!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Although they may not be totally aligned on when exactly they’ll get engaged, Gia and Christian agree that there is no rush to take the next step.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Christian and I are really happy in our relationship,” Gia told The Daily Dish via email on July 22. “We know we’re in it for the long haul, but we\u2019re not putting pressure on ourselves with timelines. It will happen when it\u2019s meant to, and we\u2019re enjoying every moment and having fun together in the meantime.”<\/p>\n

Gia also revealed more on the couple\u2019s co-habitation plans during the July 22 episode of Next Gen NYC.<\/p>\n

\u201cChristian and I are really getting serious about moving in together,\u201d confessed Gia, who currently lives with her mother<\/a>, The Real Housewives of New Jersey\u2019s<\/a> Teresa Giudice<\/a>, and her stepfather, Luis \u201cLouie\u201d Ruelas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In her email to The Daily Dish, Gia declared, “I\u2019m really excited to be moving out on my own.”<\/p>\n

“I spent so much time in NYC while filming and I really enjoyed it. I\u2019d be open to moving to Jersey City or NYC, wherever I find a place I fall in love with,” she continued. “I can\u2019t wait!”<\/p>\n

As for whether she and Christian will definitely move in together, Gia noted, “We are still figuring it out.”<\/p>\n

“We are both young and have so much time to move in together even if it doesn\u2019t happen right away,” she continued. “It will mostly depend on logistics with his work and whether commuting makes sense. But we are very much still together and in love and wherever a move takes me, he will be there all the time.”<\/p>\n

For now, as both Gia and Christian live in their respective family homes, the couple continues to make their arrangement work.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We both work a lot during the day, and a lot of the times, we like to come together at night,” Gia explained on the March 31 episode of her podcast, Casual Chaos with Gia Giudice<\/a>.\u00a0“We always sleep together \u2014 we basically sleep together almost every night.”<\/p>\n

Christian has the approval of Gia\u2019s parents<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“My mom’s obsessed with him, literally,” Gia said on her podcast, and later added, “But, you know, Christian honestly has an amazing relationship with everyone in my family.”<\/p>\n

Gia and Christian recently vacationed in Italy<\/a> with Joe Giudice<\/a> in May, where the couple attended her cousin\u2019s wedding while wining and dining their way around the country.<\/p>\n

How did Gia Giudice and Christian Carmichael meet?<\/p>\n

The couple first met<\/a> during a house party on the Jersey shore in 2019, the summer before Gia started her freshman year of college at Rutgers University<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I show up to this house. I had the best weekend of my life,” Gia said on the March 31 episode of her podcast.\u00a0“Out of control. But it was so much fun.”<\/p>\n

The two then attended a country concert together, and had their first kiss in the rain.<\/p>\n
