Taylor Sheridan’s “Lioness”<\/a> is premiering its third season later this summer.<\/p>\n

The Zoe Salda\u00f1a-led Paramount+ series began filming in Fort Worth<\/a> in October 2025 and wrapped in March<\/a>. The espionage thriller follows CIA operative Joe (Salda\u00f1a) as she balances her “personal and professional lives as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror.”<\/p>\n

Paramount announced Friday, June 5<\/a> that “Lioness” season 3 will premiere on Sunday, Aug. 2.<\/p>\n

“Hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals collide. Joe (Salda\u00f1a) walks the line between duty and home as unseen forces circle her world. Patterns appear where they shouldn’t, names vanish, and paths rearrange. Guided by Kaitlyn (Nicole Kidman) and Westfield (Michael Kelly), Joe confronts enemies operating in the shadows, leaving her to reckon with a war that now reaches into every part of her life,” the season 3 synopsis states.<\/p>\n

Fort Worth-filmed ‘Lioness’ to premiere in August<\/p>\n

Over its five-month shoot, “Lioness” filmed in and around Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

Scenes were shot at SGS Studios in the AllianceTexas area<\/a> in far north Fort Worth. The 450,000-square-foot film and television production campus opened last year and has already welcomed three other Sheridan-produced shows in “Landman,” “The Madison” and “Dutton Ranch.”<\/p>\n

“Lioness” closed roads in downtown for shooting at Wicked Butcher<\/a>, the Sinclair Hotel, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse<\/a>, the Hilton Fort Worth<\/a> and at Fort Worth’s old city hall.<\/a><\/p>\n

Production also closed streets around TCU in the University West and Berkeley Place neighborhoods<\/a>, and around the Cultural District.<\/a><\/p>\n

This is the second consecutive season of “Lioness” to film in North Texas.<\/p>\n

Season 1 filmed in Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., Paris and Mallorca, Spain. For season 2, the series primarily filmed in and around North Texas, including in Fort Worth, Weatherford, Strawn, Stephenville and Glen Rose.<\/p>\n

In addition to Salda\u00f1a, “Lioness” stars Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly, Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Genesis Rodriguez, Austin H\u00e9bert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, Hannah Love Lanier and “Yellowstone” alum Ian Bohen.<\/a><\/p>\n
