1. LA MIRADA (25-9)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Matadores finish on top. They advanced through group play by beating Huntington Beach to reach the CIF-SS Division 1 quarterfinals. They also reached the CIF Division I Regional semifinals. No championships, but they competed well with the big boys.<\/p>\n Previous:<\/strong> 2<\/p>\n 2. GANESHA (26-3-1)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Giants beat Loyola 6-3 to win the CIF-SS Division 2 championship. Star pitcher\/hitter Logan Schmidt delivered the goods as he helped the Giants win back-to-back CIF-SS titles after capturing Division 4 last season. They opted to skip the regional playoffs.<\/p>\n Previous:<\/strong> 3<\/p>\n 3. MARANATHA (23-7)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Minutemen\u2019s best accomplishment was that they qualified for the 16-team group in the Division 1 playoffs. Though they lost both of their games, both games could have gone either way. They lost to Norco 8-7 and Ayala 7-6. It was a great season for the Olympic League champions.<\/p>\n Previous:<\/strong> 1<\/p>\n 4. SOUTH HILLS (23-7)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Huskies shared the Hacienda League title with Alta Loma and advanced to the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs, where they lost to eventual champion Ganesha 5-2 in the second round. They had one of the best pitching staffs in the San Gabriel Valley.<\/p>\n Previous:<\/strong> 4<\/p>\n 5. GLENDORA (23-11)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Tartans weren\u2019t in the Top 10 before the playoffs began, but they finish in the Top 5 after winning eight straight playoff games to close out the season. The Tartans won two championships, beating Laguna Beach for the CIF-SS Division 4 title and defeating Kaiser for the CIF SoCal Division III Regional title.<\/p>\n Previous:<\/strong> 14<\/p>\n 6. ST. FRANCIS (17-15-1)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Golden Knights\u2019 record was misleading because they competed in the super-tough Mission League. In the Division 3 playoffs, however, they showed their worth, reaching the semifinals before a loss to Mira Costa. They also qualified for the CIF SoCal Division II Regional playoffs.<\/p>\n Previous:<\/strong> 11<\/p>\n 7. ARCADIA (19-11)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Apaches reached the second round of the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs with a first-round win over Simi Valley, 3-2, before losing to Summit 5-4. BISHOP AMAT (16-12)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Lancers had a disappointing end in the CIF-SS playoffs, losing in the first round of the Division 3 playoffs to Corona del Mar, 2-1, in nine innings. LA CANADA (19-10)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Spartans swept two games with Monrovia in the final week of the regular season to win the Rio Hondo League title. They advanced to the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs, falling in the first round to Summit 7-6. Pitcher Joe Bell had a fantastic season.<\/p>\n Previous:<\/strong> 9<\/p>\n 10. MONROVIA (18-8-1)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Wildcats beat Castaic 10-6 in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 4 playoffs.
