Police have arrested fugitive Top End Mongols bikie Brandt Graham five days after the 44-year-old jumped the dock at the Darwin Local Court last week, sparking an “extensive manhunt” across the city.<\/p>\n

Northern Territory Police said Mr Graham was under the watch of G4S security guards when he fled from Darwin Local Court on Friday morning<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The ABC’s CCTV footage captured the 44-year-old sprinting out of the courthouse entrance and running down Cavenagh Street in the city’s CBD, with two privately contracted security guards chasing him.<\/p>\n

In a statement, NT Police said the Fugitive Taskforce “tracked” Mr Graham to multiple locations across Darwin “where he is believed to have actively evaded police with the assistance of known associates”.<\/p>\n

They said since his escape last week, seven people known to the bikie had been arrested over outstanding warrants, breach of bail and drug-related offences.<\/p>\n

One of them, a 25-year-old woman, remains in custody and is accused of helping Mr Graham.<\/p>\n

It remains unclear if the six others have been released without charge.<\/p>\n

In a subsequent NT Police statement, Detective Sergeant Tim Healey said police had stopped a grey Mazda in the Palmerston suburb of Gunn this afternoon, before intercepting the vehicle near the intersection of Lakeview Boulevard and Chung Wah Terrace.<\/p>\n

Mr Graham then allegedly fled the scene on foot before being apprehended by the Dog Operations Unit, while the driver was also arrested.<\/p>\n

“This was an extensive manhunt that involved multiple units and we thank the public for their ongoing assistance,” he said.<\/p>\n

Both men remain in custody and are expected to be charged tonight.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Court documents previously obtained by the ABC reveal Mr Graham is a patched member of the outlaw motorcycle gang, the Mongols.<\/p>\n
