The race for the Place 4 spot on Keller City Council advanced to a runoff election after no candidate received at least 50% of the vote during the May 2 local election.<\/p>\n

Medeiros and Armstrong were the candidates who received the most votes out of the three total candidates who initially ran, according to previous reporting<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Medeiros secured 41.75% of the votes while Armstrong received 39.07% of the ballots cast. The pair advanced to the runoff over Elda Rata, who tallied 19.18% of the votes.<\/p>\n

The Place 4 seat was called as a special election after Ross McMullin vacated the position to run for Keller mayor.<\/p>\n

June 13, or election day, is the final day Keller voters can cast a ballot in the mayoral runoff.<\/p>\n

[I] want to offer both sides of the table dialogue on all aspects of developing Keller. Resident for 32-plus years and very aware of this community.<\/p>\n

Safety and taxes.<\/p>\n

How do you plan to address these issues?<\/p>\n

Coordinated discussions on ideal measures and ensure that all processes are as efficient as possible. Retain and pay the fire and police like they are appreciated.<\/p>\n

What would your top priorities be if you are elected?<\/p>\n

There is not a top priority. This is a fine community and we need to continue to be open to keeping it safe and family friendly.<\/p>\n

Why are you running for office?<\/p>\n

I\u2019m running to keep Keller the kind of city families choose to call home. As a combat veteran and business owner, service and accountability guide how I lead. Keller deserves steady leadership that protects public safety, respects taxpayers and ensures growth never comes at the expense of our community.<\/p>\n

What are the biggest challenges facing the city?<\/p>\n

Keller\u2019s biggest challenge is managing growth without losing the character residents value. Traffic, infrastructure and rising costs must be addressed responsibly. We must plan carefully, maintain strong police and fire services and ensure development strengthens our community rather than overwhelming it.<\/p>\n

How do you plan to address these issues?<\/p>\n

My focus is simple: strong public safety, responsible spending and thoughtful growth. With my background in military service and business leadership, I understand accountability and results. I will work to ensure Keller plans for the future while protecting taxpayers and preserving the quality of life residents expect.<\/p>\n
