The San Diego City Council has proclaimed Friday, June 12th, “Mark Larson Day” in San Diego.That is the 50th anniversary of the first day Larson went on the air in San Diego.<\/p>\n
Mark currently hosts a weeknight talk show on KOGO, and does political commentary for KUSI TV.<\/p>\n
Larson says the years have gone by quickly, but he’s not going anywhere.<\/p>\n
“It might have surprised some of the members of the Council when I told them, \u201cI am NOT retiring!\u201c So I\u2019ll be here to shine light on all of the doings at City Hall for many more years to come. Trying to figure out if any power comes with the special Day on Friday. Maybe I can declare free parking everywhere in San Diego for 24 hours?”<\/p>\n
