{"id":856402,"date":"2026-06-10T01:44:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T01:44:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/856402\/"},"modified":"2026-06-10T01:44:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T01:44:14","slug":"ole-miss-was-first-to-offer-4-star-ol-antonio-keefer-and-he-has-committed-to-the-rebels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/856402\/","title":{"rendered":"Ole Miss was first to offer 4-star OL Antonio Keefer and he has committed to the Rebels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/ole-miss-rebels\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ole Miss<\/a><\/strong> entered the weekend looking to close on one of its longest-standing offensive line targets.<\/p>\n<p>The Rebels did exactly that.<\/p>\n<p>Four-star offensive lineman <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/antonio-keefer-245270\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Antonio Keefer<\/a><\/strong> committed to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/coach\/pete-golding-131478\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Peter Golding<\/a><\/strong> and Ole Miss following his official visit to Oxford, giving the Rebels a major recruiting win and another blue-chip addition in the trenches.<\/p>\n<p>The Memphis (Tenn.) <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/high-school\/southwind-memphis-tn-10303\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Southwind<\/a><\/strong> standout ranks as the No. 209 prospect in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/rankings\/industry-player\/football\/2027\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rivals Industry Ranking<\/a><\/strong> and chose Ole Miss after a recruitment that produced more than 30 scholarship offers.<\/p>\n<p>This commitment did not happen overnight.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Ole Miss has been a fixture in Keefer\u2019s recruitment from the very beginning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey were the first one to offer in May of last year,\u201d Keefer told Rivals. \u201cWhen they offered me, it made me feel like I actually had a chance and a place to start. They believed in me, and that meant a lot. Ole Miss was my top school from the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/join\/?utm_source=publisher&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=subscriber_referral&amp;ref=33\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">[ $19.99 gets you a FULL year of On3 | Rivals national coverage ]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>From that point forward, Ole Miss never stopped recruiting him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy relationships grew stronger and I kept going back to Oxford. I have visited Ole Miss more than 10 times, a lot more than any other school and I love the coaches. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love it there. The people and the culture are great at Ole Miss.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Rebels also had to fend off significant competition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLSU was No. 2,\u201d he said. \u201cNobody was ever ahead of Ole Miss though. The culture, the coaches, the environment and the alumni were some of the main reasons I committed to Ole Miss. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDevelopment also played a major role. I like their offensive line room, their track record and how Garrison gets guys to the NFL.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Keefer developed a strong bond with the Ole Miss staff, including head coach Pete Golding, whose approach resonated throughout the recruiting process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCoach Golding is an amazing guy. He\u2019s a guy you can build a relationship with like that. He is very personable, and that is all I can ask for. Coach Golding, Coach Garrison and the staff actually care about their players.
