Tyler Mane, the actor best known for playing Sabretooth in the 2000 hit \u201cX-Men\u201d and a former World Championship Wrestling (WCW) star, has revealed that he has been diagnosed with breast cancer.<\/p>\n
The 59-year-old shared the \u201csuper rare\u201d diagnosis on June 8, telling fans he was beginning chemotherapy treatment.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have some bad news. I want to change that.\u201d<\/p>\n The actor, who reprised the role of Sabretooth in 2024\u2019s \u201cDeadpool & Wolverine,<\/a>\u201d said he plans to document his treatment journey to raise awareness about male breast cancer<\/a> and encourage other men to pay attention to potential symptoms.<\/p>\n \u201cCome along for my journey to kick this thing in the ass,\u201d he said. \u201cSend this to 10 of your friends and have them follow me because people need to hear this. F\u2013k cancer!\u201d<\/p>\n Mane explained that he initially wanted to keep his diagnosis private.<\/p>\n \u201cYep. I have breast cancer. And yep, it\u2019s super rare. Only 1% of breast cancers are men,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n Mane said he plans to raise awareness about male breast cancer, which affects one in 750 men.
