Tim Allen revealed why a possible \u201cHome Improvement\u201d reboot hasn\u2019t come to fruition.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey keep talking about how it could move forward, but they get stuck [because] there are some personality problems right now with the boys,\u201d the \u201cToy Story\u201d star explained in an US Weekly interview<\/a> published Wednesday.<\/p>\n Allen said the actors who played his on-screen sons \u2014 Zachery Ty Bryan, Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Taran Noah Smith \u2014 have \u201ctheir own issues.\u201d<\/p>\n Tim Allen (seen above at Cinemacon 2026) told US Weekly the \u201cHome Improvement\u201d reboot is \u201cstuck\u201d because of \u201cpersonality problems\u201d with the cast. Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images<\/p>\n Bryan, 44, was sentenced to 16 months in a California jail<\/a> in February for a 2024 DUI arrest.<\/p>\n In March, Bryan received a 19-month prison sentence<\/a> in Oregon for violating his domestic violence probation<\/a>. He had been placed on 36 months of probation following a domestic violence conviction in 2023.<\/p>\n Bryan was previously\u00a0accused of attacking<\/a>\u00a0on-and-off girlfriend Johnnie Faye Cartwright \u2014 with whom he shares multiple children<\/a> \u2014\u00a0and charged with felony strangulation, menacing, assault and harassment in 2020.<\/p>\n At the time, he was only\u00a0convicted of menacing and assault.<\/a><\/p>\n Bryan (seen above with Allen and Thomas) is currently in jail for a February 2024 DUI arrest.
