SAN DIEGO, CA (KPHO<\/a>\/Gray News) \u2014 A baby who was born in an emergency C-section after her mother was shot and killed has been taken off life support, according to family members. <\/p>\n

Trevon Williams was formally charged with killing the baby\u2019s mother, Jariah Edwards<\/a>, on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege Williams got a Lyft from Phoenix to San Diego, tracked down his pregnant girlfriend and shot her outside a vacation rental early Saturday morning. <\/p>\n

Williams was also charged with being unlawfully in possession of a machine gun.<\/p>\n

Investigators now have recordings where Williams admits to killing Edwards.<\/p>\n

Arizona\u2019s Family<\/a> obtained one recording where Williams said, \u201cYo, I\u2019m not going to be on the game for years. I just killed my baby mama, fool. They\u2019re looking for me right now.\u201d <\/p>\n

A second recording was mentioned in court Wednesday, where Williams said, \u201cI shot this ***** in the face. On God, I shot this ***** dead.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prosecutors said the recordings were made after the shooting.<\/p>\n

Edwards\u2019 friends say she was eight months pregnant at the time of the shooting. Doctors performed an emergency C-section shortly before Edwards died. <\/p>\n

The baby was taken off life support on Sunday. <\/p>\n

Friends say Jariah\u2019s world revolved around her unborn daughter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Prior allegations of violence<\/p>\n

Court documents reveal allegations of violence years before Edwards was killed.<\/p>\n

According to an Arizona search warrant affidavit from September 2024, a 17-year-old victim identified Williams as her boyfriend after going to a hospital with stab wounds, cuts and bruises.<\/p>\n

The victim reported Williams threatened her, saying, \u201cIf I have to kick down the door, you\u2019re not going to make it home.\u201d<\/p>\n

The affidavit alleges Williams stabbed a bedroom door with a kitchen knife, forced his way inside and beat the victim with a dog collar. Court records show this happened while an order of protection was already in place.<\/p>\n

Edwards\u2019 friends also described troubling behavior in her relationship with Williams.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe had to be on the phone with him. She was very quiet and her energy, like every time we went to go hang out with her, like she wasn\u2019t the same person,\u201d a friend said.<\/p>\n

In court, prosecutors said Edwards was planning to file a restraining order against Williams before police say he shot and killed her.<\/p>\n

Williams is being held without bond. <\/p>\n
