The Portland Trail Blazers, a day after reintroducing star Damian Lillard<\/a>, have added another guard to the roster.<\/p>\n

Portland announced Tuesday that it has signed 6-foot-3 guard Blake Wesley<\/a>, 22, to a standard NBA contract. He played the past three seasons with the San Antonio Spurs.<\/p>\n

Wesley, drafted with the No. 25 pick during the 2022 NBA draft, averaged 4.3 points, 2.4 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 14.3 minutes per game over three seasons. He shot 40.9% from the field and 29.7% from three-point range.<\/p>\n

However, his career field goal percentage is dragged down by a poor rookie season, when he shot 32.1%. He shot 47.4% in his second season and 43.5% last season.<\/p>\n

His three-point shooting percentage of 29.3% last season was a jump up from 21.8% in 2023-24, but below his rookie number of 38.5%. <\/p>\n

Wesley played one season at Notre Dame in 2021-22, and was named second-team All-ACC and to the conference\u2019s All-Rookie team. That season, he averaged 14.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists.<\/p>\n

The Blazers now have 15 players and seven guards signed to standard contracts, including Lillard, who will miss next season while rehabilitating his left Achilles. <\/p>\n

Guards Caleb Love and Sidy Cissoko are signed to two-way deals.<\/p>\n
