Stellar Blade developer ShiftUp has shared a few words about the just-announced Nintendo Switch 2 port and responded to a fan inquiry about Stellar Blade: Bloodrain.<\/p>\n

Stellar Blade will be arriving on Switch 2 in 2026 as revealed during this week\u2019s Nintendo Direct. Edouard Akopcan, head of publishing at ShiftUp, said that the announcement was \u201ca huge deal for our self-publishing ambitions\u201d and is \u201ca first step towards serving as many fans as we can\u201d.<\/p>\n

Akopcan\u2019s full comments<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing able to announce a new platform (NS2) after being exclusive to PS5 is a huge deal for our self-publishing ambitions. It\u2019s a first step towards serving as many fans as we can, but it will take some time for us to build the structure we need to make it happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In the same thread, Akopcan was asked about the possibility of Stellar Blade: Bloodrain on Nintendo Switch 2. The company just announced the follow-up last week.<\/p>\n

Rather than giving a direct reply, Akopcan asked his own question. He wrote: \u201cWould GTA VI run on a Switch 2 device?\u201d<\/p>\n

Make of that what you will. Right now ShiftUp is clearly noncommittal about a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Stellar Blade: Bloodrain, but that doesn\u2019t mean it won\u2019t happen.<\/p>\n
