Co-creators <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/trey-parker\/\" id=\"auto-tag_trey-parker\" data-tag=\"trey-parker\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trey Parker<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/matt-stone\/\" id=\"auto-tag_matt-stone\" data-tag=\"matt-stone\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Matt Stone<\/a> have signed a new five-year overall deal with <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/paramount\/\" id=\"auto-tag_paramount\" data-tag=\"paramount\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Paramount<\/a> Global through their company Park County.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAdditionally, South Park Digital Studios, the joint venture behind the animated hit co-owned by Paramount and Park County, has entered into an exclusive five-year license deal with Paramount+, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/south-park-streaming-deal-paramount-trey-parker-matt-stone-1236464779\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reportedly worth<\/a> $1.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe pacts cover 50 new episodes over five seasons and all 26 previous seasons of South Park, which will continue on Comedy Central and be available on Paramount+. That includes Paramount+ becoming the U.S. streaming home for the South Park library and all new episodes, kicking off with Season 27 whose episodes will be available on Paramount+ the day after their Comedy Central premiere. The show also will return to Paramount+ internationally after <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/south-park-removed-paramount-plus-streaming-rights-1236455996\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1236455996\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">being removed<\/a> amid contractual disputes with Parker and Stone that stretched beyond the previous licensing agreement\u2019s expiration date.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe South Park library, which had been exclusive to <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/hbo-max\/\" id=\"auto-tag_hbo-max\" data-tag=\"hbo-max\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HBO Max<\/a> in the U.S. for the past five years, will be available on Paramount+ domestically and internationally this afternoon as it gets phased out on the Warner Bros Discovery streamer. There had been <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/05\/south-park-streaming-launch-paramount-plus-hbo-max-1236399951\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1236399951\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">talks for the show to continue on HBO Max<\/a> on a non-exclusive basis, which ultimately didn\u2019t pan out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cMatt and Trey are singular, creative forces whose fearless humor and boundary pushing storytelling have made South Park one of the most beloved and enduring series ever \u2014 more popular today than at any point in its history, and one of the most valuable TV franchises in the world,\u201d said Chris McCarthy, co-CEO of Paramount Global and president of Showtime\/MTV Entertainment. \u201cThey are exceptional talents and trusted partners \u2013 we\u2019re thrilled that Comedy Central and now Paramount+ globally will be the home to South Park for years to come and our thanks to the Skydance team for their vital partnership in making this happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe deals mark an end to lengthy negotiations between Paramount and the South Park creators that became acrimonious amid Paramount\u2019s pending acquisition by Skydance, resulting in <a data-id=\"1236447856\" data-type=\"post\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/south-park-creators-slam-paramount-skydance-merger-1236447856\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Parker and Stone threatening legal action<\/a> against Paramount\u2019s incoming owner and president Jeff Shell alleging interference in the streaming rights negotiations, including a five-year licensing term vs. a 10-year one favored by the duo, who also reportedly had been seeking a 10-year extension to their overall deal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe new overall pact replaces Parker and Stone\u2019s existing $900 million overall agreement signed in 2021, which was to keep South Park on Comedy Central with new episodes through 2027. The extension aligns the duo\u2019s overall deal with the new South Park streaming pact.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tParker and Stone, who didn\u2019t mince words during the standoff that <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/south-park-season-27-premiere-date-change-streaming-deal-1236447487\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">pushed South Park\u2018s Season 27 premiere<\/a> from July 9 to July 23, saying earlier this month that \u201cthis merger is a sh*tshow and is f*cking up South Park,\u201d were gracious and diplomatic in their comments on the new deals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cTrey and I and the whole South Park crew are grateful for this extension and this deal.
