{"id":866982,"date":"2026-06-14T15:57:19","date_gmt":"2026-06-14T15:57:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/866982\/"},"modified":"2026-06-14T15:57:19","modified_gmt":"2026-06-14T15:57:19","slug":"timothee-chalamet-holds-the-post-as-celebs-celebrate-knicks-nba-finals-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/866982\/","title":{"rendered":"Timothee Chalamet holds The Post as celebs celebrate Knicks&#8217; NBA Finals win"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Stars, they\u2019re just like us.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe not Jalen Brunson in this scenario, who scored 45 points to power the Knicks back from a 16-point deficit to their <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/13\/sports\/knicks-win-first-nba-championship-in-53-years\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">first NBA championship in 53 years<\/a> on Saturday night\u2019s 94-90 Game 5 victory in San Antonio.<\/p>\n<p>But the lifelong celebrity Knicks fans felt just as elated over the end to the title drought.<\/p>\n<p>Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet was the most notable and visible.<\/p>\n<p>The four-time Oscar nominee actor, who was seen <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/timotheenation\/status\/2066002799242911963\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">taking some deep breaths<\/a> throughout the tense final moments, gave an honest reaction in the aftermath.<\/p>\n<p>New York Knicks guard Mikal Bridges and Timothee Chalamet hold up The New York Post after the Knicks won the NBA Finals. NOTE Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Chalamet then made his rounds among the Knicks, notably hugging Knicks great Allan Houston and owner James Dolan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorld champs, baby!\u201d he screamed in a video shared on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Following the final buzzer, the ESPN broadcast flashed to Spike Lee, who was yelling among his group of friends in the stands as the Knicks bench erupted onto the court in celebration.<\/p>\n<p>He was later seen hugging actor \u2014 and fellow \u201cDo The Right Thing\u201d star \u2014 John Turturro on the broadcast before the two were spotted<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/darrenrovell\/status\/2066004633571504518\/video\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> hugging players and Knicks staff members<\/a> over the win along with fellow Knicks fan Tracy Morgan.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Spike Lee became a Knicks season ticket holder in 1985.<\/p>\n<p>His first game was Patrick Ewing\u2019s first game. <\/p>\n<p>He has his first NBA title, 41 years later. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Kwwm8A3jk4\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/Kwwm8A3jk4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/darrenrovell\/status\/2066004633571504518?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">June 14, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Walt \u201cClyde\u201d Frazier had nothing but smiles on his face after the victory.
