HARRIS COUNTY, Texas<\/strong> \u2013 The Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office is investigating after a 2-year-old died in the crash that happened earlier Saturday afternoon in the Hockley area.<\/p>\n In a post on X, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated a U-Haul\u2019s driver may have fallen asleep and crossed into the path of the Jeep with two children and their mother inside.<\/p>\n It happened intersection of Roberts Road and FM-2920. <\/p>\n The Jeep tried to avoid the truck and went into a ditch.<\/p>\n The mother, an 8-month-old child, and U-Haul\u2019s driver went to the hospital with minor injuries.<\/p>\n The 2-year-old passed away at the scene.<\/p>\n @HCSO_VCD<\/a> is completing a fatal crash investigation at the intersection of Roberts Rd and FM-2920. <\/p>\n A U-Haul truck was traveling westbound and a Jeep with two children and their mother were traveling eastbound.
