A motorist died and two others were injured after a pickup truck collided with a Dallas Area Rapid Transit train Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
Dallas Fire-Rescue officials responded to the scene of a crash about 4:50\u00a0p.m. near the intersection of Audelia Road and Royal Lane, DFR spokesman\u00a0Jason Evans said.<\/p>\n
The truck crossed onto the tracks and was struck by a Blue Line train, according to a statement from DART. The truck driver, who hasn’t been publicly identified, died at the scene.<\/p>\n
The train operator wasn’t injured, though two train passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital. The remaining passengers on the train refused treatment from DFR personnel, according to the statement.<\/p>\n
